Today we are going to talk about our school trip to the “Domaine de la Perrole”.
What is “La Perrole”?
It’s an agricultural farm where they cultivate only organic crop. The creator and the boss of la Perrole is Pierre Alain Schweizer and the place is in Aigle, Ch. des Prés de Mars 2. They started in 2009.
We went there in October. We had school in the morning. We finished at 11.30. “Appointment in the school yard” said our cooking teachers. We ate sandwiches, and waited 5-10 minutes to go to the train station. Then we walked to the town center and got on the train. In the train, we spoke with our friends and watched the landscape. We went past pretty vineyards. The trip lasted fifteen minutes.
When we got off, we walked across a bridge, then on a road next to the countryside during five or ten minutes. And we arrived at the farm ! It was a big wooden farm, next to fields. Some pumpkins were in front of the farm and there was a big and beautiful white dog : her name was Malina.
Over there, they sell a lot of good things for your health. For example, in autumn, they suggest salads, green cabbages or carrots. We learned that they do not use pestides, they also pay attention to weeds and they have a lot of variety of plants. We planted some seeds in pots and in grass. We talked about corn and old corn. We tasted some apple juice, tomatos and chillis.
It was very interesting to visit it because nowadays a lot of people don’t care about agriculture.
